I understand the Scholastic Shooting Trust (SST) is owned and controlled by the MidwayUSA Foundation, Inc. (Foundation). The Foundation is incorporated in the state of Missouri as a nonprofit corporation and has applied to the Internal Revenue Service to be a qualified charitable organization exempt from Federal and state income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. During the time the application for tax-exempt status is pending, MidwayUSA Foundation, Inc. cannot guarantee donations will be tax-deductible or that the application for tax-exempt status will be approved.
In making a donation to the Foundation I may have suggested a particular school's shooting program I would like to benefit from my donation. I understand the suggested school will be considered by the Foundation's Board of Directors in making its annual decision to pay grants to the various school shooting programs but the ultimate decision of the school or schools to receive a grant is that of the Foundation's Board of Directors and the Board's decision may be different than my suggestion. The Foundation's Board of Directors will manage donations entrusted to the Foundation in the best way possible to provide financial support for the education and training in the areas of shooting, hunting, firearms safety and outdoor skills.
Donations become the sole property of the MidwayUSA Foundation, Inc. and are not refundable. The Foundation did not provide anything to me in return for my donation.
By accepting this "Donor Agreement", I certify that I have full legal authority to make this donation. Information relative to the donation may be disclosed to Federal, State or local taxing authorities as well as used for publicity for the MidwayUSA Foundation, Inc. (unless I have opted to not be included in any publicity campaigns).
